Scrapbook Territory (Berkeley) haul

Today I visited Scrapbook Territory store in Berkeley. This store is the larges scrap booking store in the entire San Francisco Bay Area. They have update and hot trends such as Mr. Huey mists and embossing power. I am so tempting to just buy everything, BUT luckily my son started to misbehave so all I spent was $7(I should thank him for that). Anyways, this trip to the store was for me to do a little researching on what's hot and what's not. I believe that stamping is coming up in the world of scrapbooking these days. I saw many coordinated stamps hanging next to the 12x12 paper section.
Enough said, I purchased couple of double-sided papers and a 12x12 letters/title sticker sheet from CRATE PAPER: The Pier collection. I really like the color and their designs. Granted I only got some of them because it was very popular collection for the season. All of these are acid/lignin free, which makes me happy :D

12x12 Letter/title sticker sheet(above)>>> wish CM would do something like this...

Paper Heart Layout (Seasonal Paper Pack adventure continue)

Another layout using CM Seasonal Paper Pack.  This time I folded paper heart origami using scraps to decorate the page :)

How to make PAPER HEART ORIGAMI???????

I am not very good with words, but since when I tried to find a link to explain how to make this origami...I found out that there is hundreds of ways to make origami hearts and NONE of them look like mine, so if this directions sound confusing...I apologized in advance.

You can use any rectangle shaped paper...in this picture, I used the regular A4 printing paper.  NOTE: the thicker the paper or the smaller the paper, the harder to fold them :)

Happy 4th of July Layout

Happy 4th of July everyone.  This past NSD I purchased wayyyyyy too many Seasonal Paper Pack for my customers...BUT, since majority of them did NOT show...I get stuck with 13 packs of them.  So I am trying to make the best of it by using it in my layouts.  And here it is :)  I don't really have any embellishments to go with the page so I made them from the same paper pack to coordinate with the layout.

Fun with Power Palettes.

I absolutely LOVE the Reminisce Power Palette!  I found the papers and embellishments very classy and compliment the majority of photos.  These two layouts above were pages of my teen years memories.  It's very traditional and cultural photos that goes together very well with Reminisce Power Palette.
Above layout I used CM older materials from album kit called, LITTLE GIRL if any of you remember...it was almost 10 years ago when it was still a original 12x12(not true size).  I pulled out some scraps from the album kit and threw in some paper flowers/buttons from Delight Power Palette.
I really like the Reflection Power Palette>>>BUT, I find this collection makes my photo looks much darker.  For example...I look extremely tan in this layout even though the papers and embellishments went well with the detail of the photo.  Seriously, I don't look that tan in the actual photo alone. LOL.
This layout above is one of my latest PRIDE-N-JOY.  I experimented weaving for the first time using scrap paper strips...and ta-da!!!! Perfect for the best friend theme I was going for :)  FYI: The papers and die-cut embellishments are from "It's a Girl" stack pack.
Another sweet color scheme layout above I used papers/paper flowers from CM Fabulous Power Palette and the special thing about this layout is that I also used a journaling box/title sticker(CRAZY4YOU) from Fabulous Album Accents.
Another attempt to use all the leftover paper strips from years and years ago.  If anyone remember this papers, journaling box, and stickers....yes, yes, they are from CM Once Upon A Baby Boy Bright album kit and Jumbo Sticker Sheets!!!!!!!!!!  Wow, I have forgotten that I have them, oh-how cute this layout turns out.
